Bobby Bamboobelly

Meet Bobby Bamboobelly!  Bobby is one of three new 3D portraits of handsome young men made for my show at Blend Bar.  I love the idea of doing head shots of some Kritters with silly little faces, made officially fancy by adding some monocles.  Bobby is slightly based off one of my favorite Kritter paintings, Sugartooth from 2010.  I was given this frame by my sister, which looks so much like bamboo that naturally i had to paint a panda to put in it. It's a shiny(ish) silver frame so i made all of Bobby's accessories silver: his bowtie, monocle, and chain.  Had a blast sculpting and painting that dumb derpy face and was excited to find he sold after the opening at Blend.

In Disguise

"In Disguise"
14" x 17"
One of my last pieces of 2013, and absolutely one of my top 5 1EG of the year.  I had an absolute blast painting this one.  In the new year i plan to do a more intricate and intense masquerade painting which i am very excited for.
