Meet Rhinoceros! Rhinoceros is a commission i did recently for an actual firefighter. He is a custom Kidrobot Bub and i've been playing around with more texture lately. More texture work in the future!

Penelope
Meet Penelope! I made Penelope as a gift for one of my co-workers, who is one of the most thoughtful people i've ever met. Always thinking of others, leaving others little gifts and notes, a fellow artist herself, she is incredibly creative. After all she does for everyone around her, i wanted to give her something personal and from the heart. Penelope Panda!

p.r. burgerson
meet p.r. burgerson!
this is a customized kidrobot bub toy that i made for my dad for christmas. i'm going to turn everyone i know into a toy collector if it kills me! i ran with the idea from my runts figure with the food stuffed in the mouth. my dad is the kind of guy who loves to eat and watch tv... and those are pretty much the only hobbies i've seen him enjoy. so this is the perfect piece for him. this was a really fun character to make.

madam sandy
this is madam sandy. the ultimate beach bum. she squeezes her sexy voluptuous figure into her tiny polka dot bikini and is not afraid to get a little dirty as she searches the sandy beach for treasures.
i made this customized kidrobot bub specially for my sister, who lives at the beach and spends every moment possible hunting for her "treasures", which mostly consists of sharks teeth. my special addition to the figure was real sand, real sharks teeth and tiny shells.

snugglepus
i believe this is the last posted of my 8 most recent customs. snugglepus! snugglepus is my almost-octopus with his one-armed teddy bear. i knew i wanted him snuggling up to a teddy, so he really just didnt' feel complete without a onesie. well, as close as a onesie i could get on this adorable little mollusc. my poor planning (or non-planning) caused him to be a little side-heavy, so he doesn't stand on his own yet. i have a little cozy bed and pillow in progress as his base, and soon snugglepus will be complete!

capt'n snips
meet capt'n snips! yarg. capt'n snips is the coolest capt'n 'round. i made and fell in love with him back in april so i could enter him in the munnyworld megacontest. long after making garth and banjo, i was staring at the shape of a bub DIY figure, and perfectly visualized transforming it into a little hermit crab. i'm pretty surprised at how well it came out and how close it is to my initial vision. i just love using the munnyworld platforms in fun and different ways to the point where you can't quite tell what the original shape was. the fun part is then looking for that shape as it was originally intended.
my favorite part about capt'n snips is his paper pirate hat.

my second favorite part about capt'n snips is his claw. when i had made my snail, garth, i used the munny figure's arms to build on to create his eyes. (see here!) i thought it was a cool way to still make use of the arms, but once completed, you would never know they were the arms. what i love about my hermit crab friend is that i was able to use his arms, as arms, just placed in a different location than intended. they still have the shape of the figure's arms/hands, just with little additions to make them look more like claws. i love his big claw.
don't forget to check out the winners from the munnyworld megacontest! capt'n snips didn't win, but my two other little darlings did. my excitement hasn't died down yet, so i'm still allowed to gloat.

zompo
finally! i have been wanting to post this since the day i finished it before christmas. this is zompo, and i don't care what anyone says, he is the cat's pajamas. zompo was one of my fantastic christmas presents to my zombie-obsessed sister. i've made her a few zombie kaotic kritter paintings, it was only natural that the next step was a zombie kaotic kritter figure. (take a look back at the zombie paintings)
the only reason i made a hippo (other than the fact that hippos are adorable) is that the munnyworld figure mini bub i used already resembles a hippo. with all that i needed to get done by christmas, i took advantage of the shape to save myself a lot of time. i'm overjoyed at how he turned out and i want to make more zombies. i want to make more figures of any kind. i seriously enjoy making them. since i'm painfully attached to literally everything i make, when i finish a piece (in any media) i catch myself staring at it and longing to look at it when we're apart. (yea, i'm serious.) i don't know how it's even possible, but i do that even more with the figures. i just don't have the time to make as many as i'd like. i even still have 3 half-done ones lying around just dying to come to life, while they stare at me with their sad little unpainted eyes, pleading for me to finish them! some day, my friends. some day.
