2013 Year in Review

Welcome to 2014!!
I've never done this before, but i wanted to take note of just a couple of things i've accomplished in 2013 and share some of my favorite pieces.

CUSTOM TOYS
My favorite customs of 2013:

To start off, i started using real animal parts in my customs a few years back (starting with Hammy McChum).  This year i tried many more and I really have fun with it.  I just love the idea of a real element combined with the cartoonish made-up characters created from my mind.  Here are a few of 2013's creations with real parts:

Carnigator with real alligator teeth.  Carnigator is a 7" Custom Munny made the the Art Without Borders show, an amazing show i was honored and proud to be a part of.

Rattley Stanley the traveling snake oil salesman with real rattlesnake tail, made from a Kidrobot Rooz.
This dude won in the Custom Toy Union's Battle Bracket 4 ! After a bunch of rounds voting bracket style, Rattley made it all the way to the top.  It was very exciting :)

Archie Chargie with real goat horns.  Made for my solo show "Lemonade Stand" at Trenton Social which was a successful and amazing opportunity that i am so grateful to have been given.

Felix McFallow with real deer antlers

My other favorites from 2013:
Jellybean!  Which won 1st place in a Lunartik Cup of Tea design contest, chosen by judges Matt JOnes (creator of the platform) and Doktor A (an artist I greatly admire)

The Great Zebreaty and Clyde.  My first piece of art to be on display at New York Comic Con!

Fellow Robotipus for the "Designing Outside The Lines" show at 1AM Gallery in San Francisco

And lastly, my favorites.  Three monsters for the "Monsters Lullaby" show at Strychnin Gallery in Germany.  I was thrilled to be a part of this amazing show at such a great gallery.

ONE-EYED GIRLS

Onto my favorite One-Eyed Girls of 2013

"Beautiful But Deadly"
Skeleton 1EG covered in beautiful but poisonous/deadly flowers

"In Disguise"
A favorite playing with romance and masquerade

"Jellyfish in Space"
Based on a personal experience of mine highlighting my independence

"Rustic Shipwreck"
My personal favorite, ever!

"Sip of Nectar"
First 1EG 3D Painting

"The Beekeeper"
Made for Rise Up Gallery's Grand Opening in Miami.  Flew out there for the opening and it was amazing.  Great night, great atmosphere, great feedback.  Grateful for that opportunity

 3D PAINTINGS:

I love the idea of a 3D painting and i hope to get more advanced and complicated with them.  I was at my parents' house a week or two ago when i noticed a 3D painting on the wall of a blowfish that i did way back in college.  I remember wanting to continue with adding dimension to my paintings, but somehow it fell to the back of my mind.  I'm very excited to have started focusing on this technique and i can't wait to continue and grow with it in 2014.

Big Bob.  My first attempt at a 3D painting.

Masked Lovers

Waddles

JoJo

Sticky Nikki

Thank you to EVERYONE for the continued support.  It means the world to me.  I do what i do because i love it, and the fact that people like it too is mind blowing.  I'm so grateful for all the opportunities i've been given, the people i've met, the people who inspire me, the people take the time to check out my art.  Thank you and happy new year :)
